After we gave the other kitties away, the two I couldn't catch decided to live in my garage. Smokey and Ashley lived in the garage after their Mom went on to other things. As winter approached I set about convincing them to join us in the house. Ashley was the friendlier one and allowed me to pet her while she was eating. I was able to take her in to be spayed in October.

 

Although she lived outside and in the garage for a while, Ashley really has no interest in going outside anymore. She stays in the house. We think of her as the baby. She always wants someone to go to bed so she can sleep with them.

Smokey was another question. He would not let me pet him. He came in the house only because Ashley

 

Smokey never was really happy in the house, or being tame. One day he ran away and didn't come back. We tried to make him a housecat but not all ferals can be tamed. At least he's not making more baby ferals!
