The artifacts in this case are from an archaeological dig that was done at the site of the Lane family cemetery, near the original site of the house. The cemetery was discovered in 1969 when a house built on the cemetery was demolished. The remains, probably those of Joel Lane, his wives, and other family members, were exhumed and reinterred at City Cemetery.
