The 1790s dining table is made in three parts with curved ends, allowing it to be set up differently for a variety of purposes. Here, the table is set up as if for the August 1776 meeting of the Council of Safety, with copies of the Declaration of Independence, Revolutionary War posters and writing utensils. Back
