Here are some of my astro imaging efforts. These were all taken with a Starlight Xpress MX7C ccd camera through a Vixen 90 mm f/9 Fluorite Apochromatic Refractor. The scope is mounted on a Vixen Super Polaris mount controlled by the COAA Telescope Controller. Except for planet images, they were all autoguided using the S.T.A.R. 2000 module from Starlight Xpress. Processing and camera control were with AstroArt 2.0. All these pictures were taken from at or near my house in light polluted but otherwise beautiful Newton Massachusetts, about 5 miles west of Boston.
I recently got a Vixen R200SS 8" f/4 reflector. I've finally gotten it reasonably well collimated and am starting to get some acceptable images. Will post soon... |
