Poems

You

If you were a teardrop

In my eye,

For fear of losing you

I would never cry.

And if the golden sun

Should cease to shine it’s light,

Just one smile from you

Would make my world bright.

When the leaves have fallen from the trees,

And the sky is filled with storm,

Just the thought of your gentle touch,

Is all I need to keep warm.

When the moon up in the dark sky

Shines a faint blue light,

Memories of time we have shared,

Will keep me from sleep at night.

If only I had the courage,

To speak these words to you.

For all are from the heart,

And couldn’t be more true.
