P.J.A.S. Timeline
Summer        -  Letters sent to all parents of 7th and 8th grade
                        Science Honors Students, introducing the
                        P.J.A.S. science fair project and its part in the
                        honors course.

September 10  -  Overview of  P.J.A.S. given to the students.
                         Parent information sheet and timeline handed
                         out in class and returned signed.

September 11-
Topic index cards due for approval.
                           ( five possible topics due )


September 21 - 
Refined topic due for approval.

September 22
October 13       -  Background research.  Some class time as well
                          as personal time should be used to conduct
                          research.

October 14     -
Submit a report of background research and
                          bibliography ( with 6 sources ). Experimental
                          design also due.


October 16     -  Experiment should be underway especially if
                         you need to grow plants.  No change of  project
                         after this date.

December 14 - 
Written rough draft of results (so far), based
                          on guides and example given in class.


January 19      -  Finalized and Completed report due
                           Practice presentations of completed oral part
                           of the project, based on guide given in class.
                          ( class time and personal time should be used )

February
4 - 5              - 
Oral presentation on Local Level (3 judges will evaluate)
                               Final revised Research Paper due.


February  27 -
Regional Science Fair. This level of the science fair takes place
                               on this saturday at Easton High School. Information regarding
                               directions, times and room assignments given in class prior to
                               this date.  First place winners may go to the State Science Fair.


May 9 - 11  - 
State level of the Science Fair Held at Penn State University,
                               Main Campus.  Information will be given in class by
                               March 27th.
