Waiting

I've been waiting for the frost to come
And natures rhythms to take ahold of me
And the wind could carry me so far away
And float like clouds over the sea
Waiting is, or so a story said
So now I sit here bidding my time

Cuz I need this new beginning, like I never needed anything before
And if it's really such a wonderful life, then where's the angel at my door
And if I could find what I'm searching for, I'd ask nothing more
But that's just another promise I won't keep

I followed another fork so far that I lost sight of the sun
And it seems to build it's own momentum, afraid to stop but too afraid to run
And if I thought promises could change a thing, don't you know I'd give you one
But it would just be another promise I won't keep
And I think these feelings run so deep

I've been waiting for the leaves to turn
And the spectacle to light before my eyes
Like love or joy or sorrow first dying then reborn
As the phoenix takes to the skies
Just follow the road another story said
But don't forget you had it with you all the time

CHORUS

Oh I'm waiting....
