In the Mood

Is it a matter of semantics
Is it a matter of meaning instead
Is it the matter that shaped the universe
Or is something just the matter with my head
Cuz thoughts come and go and they go and come
And I could use it to sound crude
And I don't really know what mood I'm in
But I know I'm in the mood
No I don't really know what mood I'm in
But I know I'm in the mood

I've got a couple of picking patterns
And there's a pattern to all we do
A rather odd pattern of behavior
And the lights' pattern playing on the morning dew
And thoughts wane and wax and they wax and wane
And my fantasies may delude
But I don't really know what mood I'm in
I just know I'm in the mood
No I don't really know what mood I'm in
I just know I'm in the mood

I could slip on an icy slip of your tongue
And I've longed for so long in the songs that I've sung
If I asked for answers what would you say
And I've been wondering whether the weather is clear
And if you can hear me now that your here
I guess I like the questions better, anyway

Is it a matter of semantics
Is it a matter of meaning instead
Is it the matter that shaped the universe
Or is something just the matter with my head
Cuz thoughts go and come and they come and go
And my mind becomes unglued
And I don't really know what mood I'm in
I just know I'm in the mood
No I don't really know what mood I'm in
But I know I'm in the mood

And thoughts go and come and they come and go
And my composure is unglued
But I don't really know what mood I'm in
I just know I'm in the mood
No I don't really know what mood I'm in
But I know I'm in the mood
