Body Count

Horatio, you thought you knew it all
Standing in this tragedy while around you all the bodies fall
Horatio you were with me at the grave
You say you don't believe in ghosts but tell me could we have been saved

I remember when my father came to me
Invisible a spirit now, killed by my family
And what he told me, it filled me with a rage
I'd take them all down with me, page by page

Horatio, you thought you knew it all
Standing in this tragedy while around you all the bodies fall - they're piling up
Horatio you were with me at the grave
You say you don't believe in ghosts but tell me could we have been saved

And if the play's the thing then we must play it through
And with madness as the trap, what was I to do
But watch Ophelia drown, curtains for Polonious that fool
And poor Laertes was poisoned in the duel, forgive me

Horatio, you thought you knew it all
Standing in this tragedy while around you all the bodies fall
Horatio, you were with me at the grave
You say you don't believe in ghosts but tell me could we have been saved

And evil had it's day in court with mother queen and uncle father gone
And Rosencrantz and Guidenstern have thank god probably passed on
And I like poor Yorick am dead and buried too
No one of any consequence survives this story but for you, you

Horatio, you thought you knew it all
Standing in this tragedy while around you all the bodies fall - they're piling up
Horatio you were with me at the grave
You say you don't believe in ghosts but tell me could we have been saved
I know you don't believe in ghosts but tell me could I have been saved
