· Victor Herbert, Geneel J. Subak-Sharpe, G.J. (1995) Total Nutrition:

everything!!! Pretty easy to read too.
· Steven Barrett and Victor Herbert (1994). The Vitamin Pushers. Prometheus

that the vitamin industry uses to pull the wool over our eyes with respect to
vitamins and minerals etc. It's very comprehensive and gives readers inside
looks into the histories and tactics used by some of the biggest names in the
vitamin world. If you want to know the inside story, this book is for you!
· Melvin, Williams, (1998). The Ergogenics Edge. 316 pages. Price: $17.95.
A Review of over 60 of the most popular ergogenic substances today. It's totally

· Varro E. Tyler. The Honest Herbal: A Sensible Guide to the Use of Herbs
and Related Remedies. Pharmaceutical Products Press, 1993. Price-$17.95. The
late Varro Tyler was the author of over 250 scientific and educational publications.
He was a professor at Purdue Univ. and a respected name in the field of herb
research. This book cuts through the folklore and presents the real evidence
on herbs and their uses and misuses. Over 350 pages! All herbs are listed alphabetically

· Nutrition for Dummies. IDG Books, Inc. Price: $20-$25. There is nothing
dumb about this book. It's very well written and makes a great first book as
well as a good quick reference. Borders has it. I do NOT recommend Herbs for
Dummies because I do not feel it mentions enough about side effects from herb
use.
