Joseph P. Cannon, M.S., is an exercise physiologist, personal trainer, writer
and lecturer who resides in the suburbs of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He holds
a M.S. Degree in Health and Physical Education and a B.S. Degree in Chemistry
and Biology. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (C.S.C.S.)
and a personal trainer certified by the National Strength and Conditioning Association
(N.S.C.A.). He is a continuing education provider for AFAA. He lectures on personal
training, nutrition and holistic medicine at the local and national levels for
the American Aerobics Association International / International Sports Medicine
Association (AAAI / ISMA) as well as to other groups who seek his expertise.
As a consumer advocate, he educates individuals on myths, frauds, and misinformation
pertaining to the health and fitness industry. He has written for several publications
including: local newspapers, Philly Health and Fitness Magazine, Weightwatchers.com,
Nutrition Forum,WorkoutsforWomen.com,
Today's Dietician and the Journal of Strength and Conditioning.
