This picture was taken by me outside Talbots, 4823 Old Kingston Pike, Knoxville, Tennessee. It was taken on November 21, 2001, with my Fujifilm FinePix A101 digital camera. Talbots is where I work. This picture shows the top of a tree, bedecked with yellow autumn leaves, against the late afternoon sky. My wife Jill, the former professional photographer, told me I should try saving the picture as a high-contrast black-and-white. Well, there you go, that is why she was a professional. Gives it an austere, wintry look. Quite different from the original, but breaktaking nonetheless.
