Nicholas Joseph Dorosky, 9, beloved son, brother, grandson and friend, went home on Friday November 7, 2003. Though he was only with us a short time, he touched everyone who knew him. Nicky was a fourth grade student at State St. Elementary School in Larksville where he was affectionately known as "Slick Nick." He had an infectious smile and quick wit that endeared him to so many. Nick loved to play his PlayStation. His favorite movie was the "Lion King." He was an avid baseball fan and loved animals, particularly his dog, Ginger. He loved Yu-Gi-Oh and Pokemon. He was a former member of Wyoming Valley Challenger Little League and bowled at Chacko's Family Bowling Center, Wilkes-Barre. Nicholas was born in Plains Township, son of Joseph J. and Anne P. Connors Dorosky, and lived on Schuyler Avenue, Kingston. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Grace Connors and paternal grandfather, Justin Dorosky. In addition to his parents, he is survived by sisters, Jennifer and Allison, at home; maternal grandfather, Peter Connors, Edwardsville; paternal grandmother, Bernadine Dorosky, Kingston; aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. The funeral was held Monday November 10th at 9:30 a.m. from the Leo P. Lehman Funeral Home, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Ignatius Church, Kingston, with Rev. Vara Prasad, officiating. Interment was at St. Ignatius Cemetery, Pringle.
