| Story: 9/10 Like most if not all sonic games your trying to stop Dr. Robotnic from taking over the world. You are trying to stop him from controling a water god that is distorying cities. Who doesn't like a storyline were a water god is being controled by a mad scientist. Graphics: 9/10 The graphics are great and its amzing this was a first gen game. It might took you a while to realize that I was playing the game, and not watching a movie. There are no polygons visible on Sonic, except on his hands, and I can forgiven. There are some really beautiful visuals in this game. You have to see it to believe it. The killer- whale chase scene in the Emerald Coast Zone will absolutely knock you flat! All I could do was stare while Sonic speeds down a dock with this mondo whale right behind him. Some other graphical highlights in this game include the Tornado section of Windy Valley, the Goin' Down section of Speed Highway, and the extremely cool-looking Snowboard sequence of IceCap. You can even see Sonic's spikes waving in the wind in certain levels, and the characters' breath in the IceCap Zone shows the detail that is just amazing. Sound: 9/10 The music is realy upbeat and each level had a perfectly matched soundtrack to go along with it. The sound effects are good like most games it sounds real. The voice acting is a big fator too. Its good but it could have been more relistic in some classes but its like that in most games anyways. Controls: 10/10 While there are six characters to choose from, and one hidden character. There controls are all basicly the same and you'll be good at moving them around in no time. Game Play / Replay Value: 9/10 There is also a new feature to the sonic series. It is called Chao there are like gega pets but you can also download then on to your vmu and play a mine game with them and there is also a chao kindergarden where they can learn now things like dancing. You can also enter them into things like Chao races which can be with your chao and 7 other computer comtroled chaos or you can race up to 7 other people by puting in there vmu's. There are tons of mini-games and little diversions in this game, on top of an A- Life system (fashioned after the A-Life system from NiGHTS, only this one is more advanced). Some mini-games include pinball, snow and sand boarding, bumper-car racing, a Bi-Plane shoot-'em-up, and much more! Plus six different characters each with their own unique set of moves and abilities! You will not get bored with this game any time soon. Overall: 9/10 This is by far the best first gen game ever made and a great game for the new Dreamcast owner. With Sonic Adventure, it's an action-packed ride all the way and everyone will love it!
