| Welcome to Dreamcast Magic |
| Story: 8/10 Welcome to the off-the-wall world of brothers Hoigle and Moigle Floigan! In this lighthearted adventure game, you'll help the large and lovable Moigle build his "Secret Project" in hopes of keeping the greedy Baron Malodorous and his gang of Mercenary Cats from taking over the Floigan junkyard. In Floigan Brothers: Moigle's Secret Project for Dreamcast, you assume the role of Hoigle Floigan, the quick-witted older brother, who engages the completely interactive Moigle in a series of puzzles, games, and adventures while retrieving the lost parts for his project. Moigle is passionate and sensitive, and his emotional reactions continue the flow of the game. Graphics: 9/10 The graphics in the game are preaty good. The game has a almost cartoon like sence to it. The animation in this game is realy good and they look very realistic with there movements and match well with there emotions and speech. Plus the chartacter models are realy good and have a high polygon count which is always good. On the down side there are some camera problems but nothin realy big. Controls: 10/10 The controls in this game are very easy. What each button does in the game is displayed on the tv but do change when you interact with things or Moigle. Anyone who can plus a button and read can play this game. Sound: 8/10 The voice acting is some best I have seen which was needed sence your here alot of it. There aren't really that many sounds in the game but it is made up with all of the voice acting which happens all the time. The game is very funny and the voices match the games tone. But as far as music this games really isn't anything special and can be very boring. Game Play / Replay Value: 8/10 Challenging puzzles and obstacles keep gameplay exciting as players embark on the brothers' adventure. The down side to it is the game is short. For a game in development for 3 years (sence the Dreamcast came out in the US) it is unacceptable that a person could beat it in a day, that fact is just pathetic. Some pluses are the State-of-the-art artificial intelligence makes Moigle Floigan react like a real living, breathing thing. Overall: 8/10 While the game is short it is fun and still worth getting for its great laughs you get while watching the many CG scenes. History: -In early 2002, the in-game website was taken offline and now you can't download the monthly extras, trade your Moigle or chat with people online. -While the game was development for 3 years the game was broken up into 2 or more "episodes", but with the Dreamcast doing poorly in sales at the time it was release they were most likely saved to release only if the game did well, but it didn't. It was once thought that they might have on saved them for a release on another system, which has yet to happened. |
