Welcome to Dreamcast Magic
Success will release there Japanese arcade port called Psyvariar 2: The Will to Fabricate on the Dreamcast on February 26, 2004.  Success is one of the last developers still making vertical shooter games.  Psyvariar 2: The Will to Fabricate, the sequel to its Buzz-centric G-Net shooting game.  Psyvariar 2 steps ahead of its predecessor with improved graphics, powered by the Sega Naomi hardware, and extra gameplay elements on top of its familiar central gimmick.  Said gimmick, if it isn't actually that familiar, is called "Buzz." Psyvariar challenges the player to scrape as close as possible to enemy fire without actually being hit. Doing so powers up the "Neutrino Gauge," which earns combo bonus points and improves your basic shot power.

To this, the sequel adds a new "Rolling Input System," which enables special attacks by transforming the robot main character, and a pair of selectable craft with different capabilities. For some reason connected to the game's tortuously bizarre backstory, the two mecha are named after Buddhist deities -- the MDS "Five Ascetics" (named for the Buddha's first disciples), and the MDS "Maitreya" (named for the Buddha's messianic aspect).  There is a PS2 port planned for next Summer.
