In this months article I will discuss the story of the forgotten and lost link cable for the Neo Geo Pocket. In 1999 SNK released a portable version of the Neo Geo, the Neo Geo Pocket Color. Sega and SNK partnered came out with a link so you could connect your Dreamcast with the NGCP. The cable hooks up to the NGPC to exchange information between the Dreamcast. Once the 2 systems are linked features/content is unlocked within the games.
The games that support this are (NGPC - DC) Sonic Pocket Adventure - Sonic Adventure, King of Fighters R-2 - King of Fighters Dream Match, Capcom vs. SNK: Millennium Fight 2000 - Capcom vs. SNK and some more titles. But sadly the NGPC was killed by low popularity after the Gameboy color was released in 1998. So few games support this feature, the ones that do are true gems and unlock some cool features.
