Article:
SegaNet Closes its Doors
In this months article I will discuss Sega closeting of its Dreamcast ISP SegaNet.  The only Dreamcast titles that Sega plans to continue to support online are Phantasy Star Online ver.1 and 2).  Sega stated that on June 2003, they will be shutting down their Dreamcast game servers.  This means that no Dreamcast titles that Sega ran will be playable online.  Sega had already extended the service once as a courtesy to their fans. However, as they move towards the future, they decided they had to shut the servers down.

"We hope you enjoyed our online gaming services that were extended six months beyond the original shutdown date.  Thank you for supporting Dreamcast online gaming!"  Well there you have it the Dreamcasts servers saved once from being shut down are going off-line.  This truly is sad because so many great Dreamcast games were so much fun online but as they say good things do not lasts forever.

Update! Sega of America has shutdown the US Phantasy Star Online servers October 1, 2003.
