Joe Mintardja - Biography

In 1972, Joe Mintardja was born in a small village in Surabaya, east Java. Joe passed his days in various life situations. His artistic talent was noticed when he was still a child. Joe studied in Senior High School in the school of fine arts (SMSR) in Yogyakarta. After finishing senior high school, he followed his obsession and his dream, taking his studies to a higher level and finishing at PRISMA ASRI and ISI.

The following 8 years, he built his skill in painting exhibitions and other things, which forced him to be professional in facing the future. He is never afraid to try and make his work better and better. He uses his work as a motto for his life, and his motivation is to be skillful and continue contributing to society through his work.

Joe also believes that everything he gets today is a blessing from God, with the talent that he has and Joe wants to give his best to be thankful to God.

"Without God, we are nothing!" He has made something impossible become possible, and makes something common become spectacular. Life is too short to not do something important. We have to be ready in facing this life.

1991 - Exhibition "Three in One" in Seni Budaya building in Yogyakarta.

1992 - Exhibition "Two People Only", Verdeburgh Museum in Yogyakarta.

1994 - Solo Exhibition in the Hyatt Hotel, Surabaya.

1994 - Exhibition in the Padma Bali Hotel, Denpasar.

1995 - Joint Exhibition in the Kartika Hotel and Borobudur Hotel, Jakarta.

1996 - Joint Exhibition "Junior Grade" in Yogyakarta.

1999 - Exhibition "Two Painters" in Mirama Hotel, Surabaya.

2002 - Exhibition in Shini Gallery, Ubud, Bali, Indonesia.
