  A Tragic Loss To A Hockey Legend 

Former Montreal Canadiens Great Maurice "Rocket" Richard Passed Away Due To Cancer In The Stomach At The Age Of 78.
Throught His Illustrious 18-year Carrer (1942-60), He Was The First Player In NHL History To Score 50 Goals In 50 Games On March 18,1945 (In 1944-45 Season, There Were Only 50 Games). He Scored His 500th Career Goal On October 19,1957. He Was Also Suspended On March 17,1955 When He Punched An Official, And Hab Fans Were Frustrated After A Decision By Clarence Campbell In A Game Which As Known As "The Riot". He Also Won 8 Stanley Cups (All With Montreal), Including  5 Straight Stanley Cup Championships From 1955-56 Through The 1959-60 Season. A NHL Record Which Still Stands Today. On September 15,1960 He Announced His Retierment, And Maurice "Rocket" Richard Had His #9 Jersey Retired On October 6,1960.
