The Pittsburgh Penguins have reached agreement terms with WWSW to become the official flagship of the Pittsburgh Penguins for three more years(2000-01 - 2002-03). They were the teams' flagship last season because the selling of the penguins to current owner mario lemieux took too long to reach an agreement with WDVE.

Since 1993 the penguins went through 3 radio station flagships KDKA (1967-95), WTAE (1995-98), and WDVE (1997-99).
