Penguins Re-sign RW Jason McDonald Wednesday July 18, 2001 2:07 PM PITTSBURGH (AP) - The Pittsburgh Penguins re-signed right wing Jason MacDonald on Wednesday. MacDonald has spent most of his career in the minor leagues since being picked by the Detroit Red Wings in the 1992 draft. The Penguins signed him as a free agent in September. The 6-foot, 195-pound forward had 33 points in 74 games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton in the American Hockey League last season. He also had 290 penalty minutes, second highest on the team.
