Penguins sign 1999 draft choice Koltsov Jul 15, 2002 12:35 PM (EDT) Email this Story PITTSBURGH (AP) - Konstantin Koltsov, Pittsburgh's first-round draft choice three years ago, signed with the Penguins on Monday. A 6-foot, 190-pound native of Belarus, Koltsov was selected 18th overall by the Penguins in the 1999 entry draft. The right wing played 23 games last season with Spartak Moscow in Russia, scoring one goal. He also played 10 games with Ak-Bars Kazan in Russia with one goal and two assists. Koltsov, 21, was scoreless in two games for Belarus at the Salt Lake City Olympics. He sat out the rest of the Olympics with an injury.
