to Jody the Fish |
Here's a capture of our Count Joegoolah as some of called him, others, Joe Dokes. This illustrates for me what Jody liked to do best and honestly what he did best. The first time I saw Fish was when he and his band took the stage at my junior high dance, at Redwood Junior High in '83-'84. I knew at that moment that this cool-as-shit dude was, the rock star. The bass, the sport coat, the boots, the make up, and of course, the beret. From that point on, I knew I wanted to do what he was doing: write, record and perform music, and, hopefully, some day with him, too. I did. Jody was the rock star I always looked up to and, because of that, was more famous than any other the charts have seen in his generation. Jody always was and will always remain to me *the* rock star. Your music, dreams, and spirit lives on... |
