is how I remember our Joe Dokes - the easy smile and natty attire, trim
in mind and body, a little stoned, and ready to rock. Genius, ingenue,
thinker, confessor, son, brother, father and friend —captured for
all eternity moments before taking the stage with his band, The Esoterics,
at some dog-shit strewn public park one blistering San Jose summer day
in the year of our Lord 1987. Rest easy.
