True Happiness
This world looks for happiness in all the wrong places
There are many earthly pleasures people pursue,
Christians have the joy of knowing our Lord,
His blessings are abundant, when our soul He renews.
True happiness is found only in the Savior
Only He can fill our hearts with peace and love,
His joy is the greatest we could ever know,
We can have true fellowship, with God above.
Once we had nothing and were lost in our sins,
But Jesus reached further down than we could reach up,
Now we have everything we need to be happy,
We have true joy in Jesus, and rest in His love.
What a blessing it is to know, we have one who loves us so
One who knows our every care and woe,
There is no one like He, who died for you and me,
His marvelous grace and love, He so freely bestows.
