NEWS FLASHER
This is the NEWS FLASHER, here to bare the naked truth!
Editor in chief: Matt Barnes --- Reporters: Jody'sFoot and D.D.Tea
9/29/99--More insanity can be found in the NUTS section. See what White Escort started when he picked a fight with Short Man and Ghost Deer. All hell broke loose!
9/25/99--The Worm-Hole continues to grow as a new poem "D, D & D" (Dungeons, Dragons & Death) has been posted and more messages to the Ghost Deer/Short Man excerpt have been added in the NUTS section, page 2. You got to love those rascals and their cookie-baking schemes!
9/22/99--Some more nutty messages have been added to the NUTS section. Check out the new messages left by the Short Man and the gang! The new stuff is on the same page as their older messages.AND NOW FOR A PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT: Remember Murphy's law when you have a romantic conversation with someone in the chat rooms. Really, you could be talking to someone like this...
9/18/99--A review of "Snow White" (not the Disney version, but a true horror film) can now be found in the REVIEWS section, and a new nutty collection of messages from Ghost Deer, the Short Man and several others has been posted in the NUTS section, page 2!
9/17/99--It boggles the mind how web sites of major corporations insist on using WHITE BACKGROUNDS. Reading print on white paper is fine, and I can do that all day without hurting my eyes. White backgrounds from a monitor, however, are another story. Every pixel is turned on full blast, and my eyes are tyrannized by the burning white light. Other eyes are oppressed as well, such as the Citizens Against White Backgrounds. (C.A.W.B. is actually a pretty humorous site. A must see!)A review for "Zombie Nightmare" has been posted. Check it out along with the other WORM-HOLE MOVIE REVIEWS!
9/16/99--The NUTS section has a new entry: a collection of messages from Jon-Mikl Thor and his laughably overinflated ego.
9/15/99--After six months, it was time for a little background change for the index page. Also, the NUTS section has been revamped. Some excerpts that were previously hidden are easily accessible now. Get a load of what Raco and ass_holly say to the others in the Magic Dream Machine chat room!
9/14/99--Mica has sent the wrecking ball on her web site. Unfortunately, I left a few poems and stories there, and they are missing and presumably dead. If that's the case, then they're probably lost forever as I can't find the rough drafts or files anywhere. SH*T!!!!On the lighter side of things, scrimshot introduced me to a unique website that takes your picture without the need of a camera! Check it out in the Warp Zone!
9/11/99--My newest poem, "The Next Plague," has just been posted on the "It's Never Over!" website, and a link to it has been provided in the POEMS & STORIES section of the Worm-Hole.
9/5/99--There is yet another amusing website, The Many Deaths of Elmo, accessible through the nexus of links at the Warp Zone section. For the Reviews section, there is "The Faculty." Some other minor adjustments have been made here and there throughout the Worm-Hole, such as captioned graphics in the Surveys section.HINT FOR THOSE WHO ARE BUILDING WEB SITES WITH HTML DIRECTLY (AND NOT SOME ANNOYINGLY SLOW EDITOR) : When you use img src tags to display graphics, include the width & height (in pixels) to reduce loading time and alt="(whatever)" to say what the graphic is supposed to represent (or who made it). Professionally-made websites use them, but the vast majority of personal websites don't. Besides, it takes time to load graphics, especially big ones, and someone dealing with a slow modem or heavy traffic might not have the patience to wait for the graphics to load. At least with an alt="...", they'll know what the picture is supposed to be or where it might take you if you click it!
9/1/99--Some good news: The hilarious Telebubbies are back on Tom Fulp's website, newgrounds.com! For a while there, it looked like they have been bullied out of existence by the BBC.
I have a new quote-of-the-week, and from now on, I will not take up any more space by saying there's a new quote every week, since you can assume that there will be a new "quote of the week" every week...
