Why Japan?
The Nagoya ministry now has seven full-time staff and we continue to train new staff within our ministry. We presently have a movement within one block of campuses (Nanzan/Chukyo), and we will be opening a new area called, Nisshin, this year (2005).

Our goals:
- Reach unreached students
Our ministries are blessed with more than
twice as many
non-believers in our activities than believers. Personal evangelism,
special events, international partnerships, and many other means
are used to share the good news. Lasting fruit of any evangelism
is preserved within the context of our CCC clubs, which act as
"communities of faith." Our percentage of new believers assimilated
into Bible studies and Christian fellowship is very high. Church
attendance is also high.

- Disciple believers
We work to make each believer into one who is grounded in biblical
convictions, is able to be biblically self-feeding, can naturally share
his/her personal testimony and the gospel message, can lead
someone to faith in Christ, and one who can follow up a new believer
to discipleship. In a word, we want all of our believing students to
become spiritual multipliers for the Kingdom of God.

- Send them out
At the most, we only have four years to influence a young person's
life. Thus, we want to equip each one well enough to be able to
continue for a
life-long term of serving our Lord. We praise God
that many of our students have gone on short-term missions,
have become leaders at their churches, a few have become
full-time church staff, and recently, we are seeing Nagoya students
join us for full-time work with Japan CCC.

- Our vision
Our vision is to train any believer who wants to be discipled in order to resource the Body of Christ, by sending out well-trained, spiritually multiplying leaders. These include: students, church lay, short-term international workers, and new staff of Japan CCC.

Why?
- Currently there are 669 four-year universities (2,760,000 students), and 559 two-year junior colleges  (280,000 students) in Japan. That's over 3 million students!!! These are the leaders of Japan's tomorrow.

- Research has shown that most Japanese make decisions for Christ during their teen and university years. There is openness during this time in their lives. This is especially true now with their economic futures uncertain.

- Most churches have only one pastor to take care of all church matters--pastors answer their own phones because they don't have secretaries. There are no Youth Pastors. Churches, though willing, do not have the resources to reach out to this strategic people-group.

- For these 3-million students, there are only a handful (you can count them on one hand and have fingers left over) of ministries who are specifically targeting university students. While most primarily focus on fellowship with known believers, Campus Crusade's specific call and distinctive is to boldly reach those who have never heard the gospel.

- Nagoya is one of the major hub cities of Japan. In the Nagoya area alone there are about 100,000 students. There are about 15 four-year universities in the Nagoya area and 47 universities total, in the Aichi Prefecture.

Why are we here?
If CCC were not here, there would be virtually no active Christian witness on campus.

Because we are here, thousands have heard the gospel--the vast majority for the very first time--and hundreds have come into the Kingdom of God!

We are here out of obedience to our Lord, who has called us to stand in the gap for these who are perishing.

We are here because of a team of supporters who believe in the goodness of God and the calling of this mission.

Won't you also join us through
Prayer or Eternal Investments?
