The
Little Things, A Prayer~
Dear Lord, it's hard, so hard
to be thankful right now.
I struggle so much not to
turn bitter or angry.
I feel the weight of the
world on my shoulders,
but know, deep down,
that You are carrying
most of the load.
I ask you to give me strength
to face today and give me a peace,
that only You can give.
I ask you to help me be
grateful for the little things,
the tiny miracles You give to
to show You are with me
every step of the way.

I thank you for Your faithfulness in me.
Although I fail you, so often,
You have never abandoned me.
I thank you for my Soul-mate.
A loving partner to
stand or stumble with.
I am grateful for the precious friends
and family who send words of encouragement,
prayers and support.
I have found I have more
true friends than most ever hope
to in a lifetime,
oh what a blessing they are.
If a child, comes to Daddy
with tears and a request,
the father will lovingly hold,
comfort and usually grant that request.

I am your child, with tears in my eyes,
asking for Your guidance,
Your strength, Your wisdom and endurance.
As a parent knows better
than the child, You know what
is best for me.
You promise never to leave or forsake me,
You promise to supply all my needs
and won't allow me to endure
more than I can handle,
with Your help.
I claim it, Father.
Help me stay strong
and not lose hope,
let me see the little
things every day.
Amen

Kneel in prayer in His presence,
And you'll find no need to speak,
For softly in silent communion,
God grants you the peace that you seek.

For God alone my soul waits in silence;
from him comes my salvation.
