The next morning, Puerto Vallarta 7:00 am, and off again early on another 4 hour tour.
Our bus took us to the country through traditional villages, jungles and farming areas. We stopped by a Mexican cowboy bar for a soda before returning to the waterfront tourist area. We visited the "gringo gulch" area where all the movie stars lived in the early 60s when many films were made in PV.
Downtown, there were a lot of shops and restaurants, a church, and many modern sculptures along the beach. Puerto Vallarta is definitely a blend of traditional old Mexico and modern new Mexico. We boarded the ship for sailing at 5:30 pm.
By now we are starting to lose track of days and dates. We are relaxing but also very busy sightseeing,
learning about the history and traditions of Mexico from our tour guides.
All of our guides spoke English, some better than others,
and were very knowledgeable and helpful when we asked a lot of questions.
We decided to take as many tours as we could, to see sights other than the tourist areas!
Next stop Ixtapa
