| We finally did it! |
| You know that cabin in the mountains on our web site splash page? Well, we have made that dream a reality. We had been researching properties on web sites for months now, for areas and types of properties available. In May we contacted Lorie Padore, an agent in Lake Arrowhead , to view properties we liked on their web site. There were a lot of "real fixers", but we decided if we were going to have a vacation home, it wasn't going to be a project with more work involved. We viewed one house from our web choices and as soon as we saw it, we knew 'this was it". |
| It is a 1000 sq. ft 2 bedroom 1 bath cozy house. Not really a cabin but we will call it that. It was built in 1991 with the living areas all on the top floor with a wrap around deck. It is built on two large corner lots with a seasonal stream running along side of the house. The people who built the home intended it to be two story, ran out of money so the whole bottom floor in unfinished. It is now a huge basement, just waiting for us to finish. So much for no project, but it is completely livable and nice the way it stands now. We hope to maybe start the 1st floor in a couple of years. We will probably add a 3rd bedroom, a 2nd bath and a huge family room/office boosting the area to about 1600 sq. ft. Our escrow closes on July 30th so we are busy collecting furniture and all the goodies needed to set up house. We are very excited about our new home and hope that everyone will be able to see and stay there. |
