Richard and his twins brother Raymond practically grew up in showbiz. They were only three years old when they did their first movie, Lahing Pikutin, with their father Eddie Gutierrez. I think we were able to do at least eight or nine movies at that time."
The movies carried crazy titles that actually sold! Kambal- Tuko, Takbo, Bilis, Takbo!, Feel na Feel Ko, knock, knock, knock?who's There? One, Two?Bato, Three, Four?Bapor, takbo, Talon Tili to name a few.
Then, at nine years old, they quit. The twins went to grade school, moved to the United States when they were 12, and returned to the Philippines at 15 to finish high school.
But of the twins, it is Richard-older than Raymond by five minutes-who wants to stay for good.
"Ako, ditto na ako nag-high school talaga. I graduated sa La Salles," Richard says. "For me kasi mas masaya dito 'tsaka nandito 'yung family ko.
As fate would have it, the chance for a showbiz comeback knocked at his door. Early this year, the GMA 7 youth show "Click" underwent a new format and needed fresh faces to grace its new season. Richard's mother Annabelle, hearing the news, nudged him to give it a try.
"Pinag-isipan ko muna for a while. Sabi ko, sige, I'll try. Tapos, ayun, nakasali nga ako."
Now he's glad he took the plunge.
"It's worth a try e," he smiles. "kasi 'yung buong family naming nasa showbiz na, ganu'n. it's an apportunity, so might as well grab it."
In "Click" he plays Enzo, a friendly boy-nex-door character.
"Tsaka ano ako dito, loving na kapatid tapos sobra kong ina-idolize ang dad ko dito," he says of this character. "It's easy for me to play Enzo kasi ako na ako 'yun, e. I mean in real life, ganu'un din ako. Kaya madali siyang I-act. Actually, parang hindi na halos naga-act e."
As of press time, he wasn't being paired with any of the "Click" girls-yet. And given the choice, he'd rather skip the love-team phase altogether.
Solo," he says candidly.
Not two months after appearing in "Click," Richard was also casted in the Angelika dela Cruz soap "Ikaw Lang Ang Mamahalin." In this drama series, his acting mettle is tested as help plays the more complex character of Iigo, a boy who, growing up without a mother, becomes distant and resentful.
Pero titino din daw ako in the end," he says with a small smile.
The way he sees it, his six-month-old showbiz stint is coasting along just fine. What's more, to hear him tell it, he's having the time of his life.
"Sobrang saya!" he enthuses. "Maraming people na nami-meet. "Tsaka you'll get to know more of yourself. Kung ano gusto mo, ganyan. Kung paano ka mag-interact with other people."
So he wants to do more.
"Sana movies and commercials," he says. "But I'm not really in a hurry. Marami akong goals but I think I'd rather take things slowly."
What he's really preparing himself for now is showbiz's had side-the "intrigues," the loss of privacy, the misconceptions of people he doesn't even know.
But with showbiz veterans for parents, he's almost sure he can handle these.
Richard has a huge advantage even among other children with showbiz parents: his obvious good looks. On-screen and in person, he is close-up material. Veteran says he can be the next big male star!

Sayang naman kasi kung kakanselahin ito sa ere dahil the show has maintained a good viewership sa rating game.

Stefano, palaaway!
ITO ANG L8ST NGAYON! ni Eric John Salut
Publish Date: [Tuesday, March 26, 2002]
JUST FOR FUN ANG PAG-AARTISTA KAY STEFANO
At 17, gusto nitong mag-aral ulit at kukuha ng kursong Political Science dahil ambisyon nitong maging attorney-at-law dahil mas gusto nitong maging politician kaysa artista.
"I want to clean the government and if, not, at least, I will start," matalas nitong paninindigan.
"It's all fun for me.
Nang makatsika namin siya, he will go back to school at ipagpapatuloy ang kanyang pag-aaral and hopefully, mag-enroll siya ng Political Science na ipagpapatuloy raw nitong pagka-abogado.
"I hope someday, I'll be a politician.
Happy Birthday, Stefano.
about gmik in talk tv G-MIK na Tayo Ngayong Summer!
April 23, 2002
Let us hear it from the cast of the popular afternoon teenybopper show, G-mik! Of course these cool youngsters would never miss the fun of summer for the world! Camille Prats, Miko Samson, Janus del Prado, Shaina Magdayao, Heart Evangelista and John Prats guest in Talk TV and prove that summer is not only a time for fun and adventure. For them, summer involves everything from play to work and having some quality time with oneself and the family.
For these young celebrities, summer brings the grooves, it is the perfect time for a change in fashion. Heart: Mas fresh looking, styles like spaghetti, capris, pants, and shorts.
Camille: Basta pag summer, pag dark colors di ba mainit? Kaya the lighter the better.
Miko: Ako, jeans, shirts and shorts.
John: Kung saan ako comfortable.
Janus: Sando, shorts and bandana.
For Camille, she prefers wearing her hair short is fond of wearing sundresses because of it's "super soft" fabric, "Para kasing presko tingan, parang duster." These kids also pair up their clothes with all kinds of accessories made from beads, glitters and exotic stones.
Summer season definitely makes their hearts desire for beautiful and exciting places where they can spend their time to relax. Here are their typical fantasy summer getaways where they surely will dress up "fantabulously".

On the other hand, summer is not only for dressing up or having fun. There are some who attend workshops, summer and youth camps, which are far way productive than soaking under the sun. This means that summer also entails the young ones to make something beneficial out of their free time.
Camille: Yung mga babies sa PGH (Philippine General Hospital). Gusto kong magbigay ng mga free medicines.
Heart: Sa mga orphanage, yung mga walang parents. I want to visit them and make them happy.
You get to teach English and Math. Fulfilling kase and it's also a good mental activity.
Magbigay ng basic needs like pagkain.
This proves that these young ones do not only for "g-mik" but they also see to it that they are doing something worthwhile and meaningful for others. To finish it off, Camille says, "Enjoy summer as long as it's clean fun. It's a time for the family. So make your summer worthwhile."

erving as a role model and acting as the media spokesperson for Banco Filipino's Happy Savers Club (HSC) nationwide is young and talented actress CAMILLE PRATS who was inducted as its very first National President on the recent of Banco Filipino's 38th Anniversary at the PhilSports Arena (ULTRA) in Pasig City.
CAMILLE, who is often seen on ABS-CBN's Arriba! Arriba! And on MTB's opening number every Wednesday, has been Banco Filipino's image model and endorser for seven fruitful years.
You ask, "why fruitful?" Simply because being with the bank has taught her the importance of saving for a better future. This actually shows her lifestyle. For one, Camille isn't into branded apparels or accessorizing herself with jewelries.
Twice a year lang po talaga ako bumili n'un -when it's my birthday or Christmas!"
her wholesome image is the reason why she was chosen to be HSCs national president add to it the fact that she is a loving daughter imblued with good morals.
"We are a closely-knit family. Kapag hindi ako busy, we would go to malls (usually sa Rockwell) with our younger siblings tapos manonood ng sine." She even added, "Personally kasi I love watching movies right after, we'll go to Cainta kasi may bahay kami doon."
We all watched Camille when she portrayed the challenging role of Prinsesa some years ago. Back then, everybody admired her acting prowess. This time, though, she would face a greater challenge as she will be responsible for uniting and channeling all efforts of HSC's 90,000 members towards the fulfillment of the objectives of the club.
"It is a great honor to be the first National President of HSC and I'm very thankful to Banco Filipino for entrusting to me such great responsibility," she enthused. "I have learned so many things from HSC. One, about the significance of saving for my future and spending wisely. But most important of all the importance of education. Kaya nga kahit sobrang busy ng schedule ko, I make sure na I have time for my studies."
HSC's objectives include programs which cater for different causes as environments awareness, cultural/ social presentations through singing, acting or other artistic talents, humanitarian campaigns, physical fitness/ sports activities, leadership planning/ presentation and intellectual/educational programs causes which Camille also believes in.
Alongside the induction was Banco Filipino's Balikatan 2002 Sportsfest promoting healthy competitions among its members and develop enthusiasm in sports. Added to this is the launching of Kabataan Para Sa Kalikasan tree-planting project at BF Resort Village in Las Pias.
Actually, I've gone to different orphanages and donated clothes and food. I grew up with Banco Pilipino and with you, matutupad ko rin ang mga pangarap ko," she related.
Despite the big responsibility put upon her shoulders, Camille doesn't think of it as a burden but rather an opportunity in order to share whatever she has and to serve others, especially the poor.
"Sabi nga sa isang quotation, 'Opportunity hardly comes twice'. Kaya naman when the opportunity came my way, tinanggap ko agad. Banco Filipino has taught ne a lot of lessons all throughout that seven years of my being an image model. Alam ko na this is a new journey for me-and also a bigger challenge."
Camille has, indeed, gone a long way from being a teeny-bopper. On July 20 of next year, she will be celebrating her 18th birthday to be held in Shangi-La Plaza Hotel. Another chapter in her life. But, definitely, this chapter as HSC's very first National President and Banco Filipino's endorser will give her a lot of memories she'll never her a lot of memories she'll never forget.
So to Camille, good luck and all the best! he little princess is now a lady
Camille Pratts is finally saying goodbye to Hello Kitty. Okay, maybe not completely but she confesses to slowly shedding off her childhood obsession. "Little by little I am trying to take out some Hello Kitty stuff in my room. I'm more into minimalism now," says the former child star who has just turned 17 last June. The seven-year old whom we all know as Sarah, Ang Munting Princessa, still has a face of a princess but is anything but "munti." "Some people think I'm still 10 or 12 years old because they remember me as Princess Sarah but in less than a year I'm turning 18!" In fact this lady has already started planning for her debut on June next year. Meanwhile, before her big ballgown moment, Ms. Pratts does a little shopping with Starstudio for her everyday wardrobe. And there was now even on Kitty on her to-buy list! - Dahl Bennett
Always a good-hair day
Camille Prats' day could get so busy that her hair is exposed to the elements (sun, wind, dust, etc) all the time. How come she does not have a bad-hair day? Well, there's no secret there. Camille shares them:
- "Since I started my showbiz career. I have been wearing my hair long. It went of for years until I got tired of it. I looked at fashion magazines and chose a short 'do which I could wash and wear. What I noticed was that my fans who used to wear their hair long also cut their hair short."
- "I use a mild shampoo to wash my hair everyday. I just love the fresh smell. I used a conditioner to protect it from the heat of studio lights. When my workload is not heavy, I shampoo every other day but still condition my hair every day."
- "I got to the salon every two weeks to have hot oil treatment. "I've got to do this. With the direct heat of blow dryers, spotlights, and the sun, my hair needs a protective shield. Hot oil massages the scalp and maintains the hair's natural moisture balance. It also prevents itches and flakes and gets out tangles."
THE REBEL IN CAMILLE
Print on print? Why not! This lady is ready to experiment and live up to being a teen. Even in her acting roles she says, she wants to try something she hasn't done before. "I want to play a rebelde," says the former child star who wants to be as versatile as her idol Vilma Santos. With that revelation we can expect a more different Camille in the years to come.
FROM CASUAL TO LOW-CUTS
With a face a lovely as Camille's, all clothes would be perfect on her. Although she says she just buys clothes "when I need to," she still melts at the sight of nice pants to go with her favorite boots or rubber shoes. Camille says she's a jeans-and-shirt gal but when the occasion calls for it, she won't hesitate to put on a low-cut, girly dress that would suggest a little cleavage. When she's running out of fashion inspiration, she turns to her icons Cameron Diaz and Donita Rose. Her fashion philosophy? "Look simple yet sophisticated and noticeable."
BIG ON BAGS
Guess what has replaced Camille's Hello Kitty collection? It's bags-and this new bug won't just quit biting. She says she has around 50 bags already and she's still counting. She buys them everywhere she shops both here and abroad. "Even when I got to Gift Gate, I go and check out the bags first," she says..
