Peter Writes Home
These letters were written by Peter Schram while he was in the Civil War. They are transcribed the best I can Many of the letters were written on sheets torn out of record books with green lines on them. So far we have knowledge of 6 (?) letters. When Peter died the family split up all the letters among the children. These letters are the ones that have been in the Hugh Schram family line. I can only hope that more of them have survived the 140 years that have passed since they were written.
