| It is very rare that you find a world-reknowned actress who is a Believer, and isn't afraid to share God's love or the importance of her faith to anyone. I admire this most in Jodi Benson. Throughout her years on stage and in concert, on tour, and through voice-overs for Disney and other movies, Jodi has ministered to so many people, children and adults - many who have no idea who God is. She openly talks about her Christian faith in nearly every single interview she gives... Jodi has several albums out for children in which she ministers, sings and tells Bible stories. I recommend them all. You can read about them on the albums page. I think it is such a wonderful gift to be given a talent that lets you go all over the world to share an extrodinary message... It's so rare that actresses use their "fame", if you will, to spread God's Word. |

| Jodi gears her career towards family entertainment as much as possible. This is why you only find her in Disney and family movies, singing symphonically in concert, and doing tours with broadway shows. She has also gone around to elementary schools to sing songs and tell kids all about how Disney makes movies. |
| In one of her travels to an elementary school, she said, "I was talking to some 9 and 10 year olds, third graders, I think. What I do when I go around to schools is I tell them how to make movies. And I show them a flip book and then I show them the black-and-white videotape of the pencil sketches of the movie, with the clicker counter up in the top, and I tell them how many drawings per second go through the whole thing. And I explain what I do in the studio. So at the end of this 45 minute presentation I said, "do you have any questions?" And this little boy raised his hand and he said, "how do you hold your breath that long under water?" So I said, "I've got really big lungs." But the magic of that is what they want to hold onto, and that brings me tremendous joy." |
| Regarding the Little Mermaid, Jodi got to make special apperances for her nieces. Jodi said in an interview, "They brought me to their schools for show-and-tell. It was so exciting for them that their aunty was Ariel." |
