So, It was the 4th of July weekend and Judy and I realy did not like any of the plans we were faced with.  So, Road trip!  Lets throw the bikes on the car and see where we wind up. For no particular reason, we decided to go south.  After an hour or so on the road, Judy said that she had heard that there was good mt. biking in San Luis Obispo.  I knew they had a great brewery. We finally had our destination.  The local bike shop sold us an awsome map and told us of a camp ground neer some of the trails.  We find the camp ground, and it was full.  4th of July weekend, no surprise.  The guy running the camp ground, being mighty brotherly, showed us a hill we could climb.  At the top we would find a clearing and could set up a tent.  Away from all of the other campers.  This is what we found.
Our sweet little camp spot.  Nobody around but us.  The hills in the backround are our destination for a would be fantastict ride.
Here is Judy blazing down the trail.  This is on the back side of the hills you see in the top picture.  It was beautiful to say the least.  This was definitely the fun part of the ride.  Much more fun than the 3 hour plus climb to the top.  Definitely more fun that the wipeout into the poison oak.  Even more fun that the enormous rattlesnake in the middle of the trail.  This was just long, smooth double track that you could go as fast as you wanted to.  And we went fast!
How sweet is this.  God I love single track.  Pictures never do any justice for the steepness.  This is actually alot steeper than it looks, I am actually going alot faster than this looks.  I am actually a much better rider than I look.  And my head is much, much larger than it looks.  In all seriousness, this realy was a sweet section.  It was steep enough to get the adrenaline seriously pumping, yet smooth enough to just let the bike fly.  This would be a very bad time to wipe out!
Yes, this picture is a bit cheesy.  But the view is not.  We are sittin' on top of the world here.  There is not another soul to be found.  Just me and my honey.  We have a bit of lunch, alot of water and we are ready for the FUN part.  GOING BACK DOWN!!
