Rene Albert Jobin was born March 14th, 1995. I had a long labour and by the time he was born I was exhasted. He never slept for more than three hours at a time until he was about 3 months old, so needless to say I was one tired mommy.
It didn't take long for me to fall in love with him though, he was so cute! (he doesn't like being called cute anymore) Strangers would sometimes come up to me and tell me how cute he was.
Rene was a clingy toddler but I was happy to bring him with me wherever I went. I never had to worry about him wandering off(well most of the time). He is really smart too. When he was three his grampa was telling him about how a big fire ball hit the earth and killed the dinosoars, Rene said "actually grampa it was an asteroid, a big space rock".
Rene started Grade 1 this fall and is doing really well. He is in French Immersion. I am surprised at how fast he is picking up on reading, he has spelling tests every week and gets 5 out ot 5 most of the time. I can't beleive how grow up he is getting.
Rene has taken 2 years of gymnastics and does a mean cartwheel. He dicided to take this year off though. I hope he will continue with it next year though, he is so good at it.
He has also been taking violin lessons form his Uncle Mark since this spring. He can play Twinkle Twinkle, I'm a Little Monkey, Mary had a Little Lamb, See my Pony, and is learning other songs. He is quite shy about playing for other people though, he gets his violin an music out lifts up his bow and then says, "I changed my mind."
Rene recently started wearing glasses. I will put up a picture of him with his new specs very soon.
