Joelle
Joelle Tessa Jobin was born on November 5th, 1999.  It was a very easy labour, only about 2 hours of painful contractions.  I went from 3cm to 10cm in half an hour and the doctor never made it until I was delivering the placenta.

Joelle slept for long stretches until she was about 3 months old. She then started waking up 3 times a night, I think she was teething.  She insists on sleeping in our bed, so to make more room we took one side off the crib and pushed the bed up beside it.  It works pretty well, she doesn't stay in there all night but at least I can nurse her close to the edge and not worry about her falling out.

*note - we gave the cirb to my sister in law when she was 18 months  and Joelle is now sleeping(part of the night) in bunk beds with her brother.

Joelle took swiming lessons last summer and loved it.  I hope to sign her up again soon, we missed the summer session so it looks like we will have to do the winter thing.

Lately, Joelle has become a little helper.  Unfortunately sometimes her "help" causes me more work, but it is so cute to see her work away.  She likes flushing the toilet and sitting on the potty but so far has not made a deposit.

Joelle is picking up new words all the time, many of which make us laugh.  The other night she patted her belly and said guts.  We had made a Jack O Lantern the night before and I had called the insides the guts.  It is amazing the things they pick up.

Joelle's birthday is coming up soon, I hope to get new pictures up very soon.
