Text Box: EDITORIAL About the site This site is created to publish an unofficial live rating list of top ten Indians. FIDE (World Chess Federation) releases its rating list bimonthly. A proper reflection of the playing strength is not guaranteed unless it is getting updated at least after each tournament. Here an attempt is made to update the ratings on a daily basis. The calculations are done as per the latest FIDE rating regulations implemented from 1st July 2009. Why top ten? FIDE uses the average rating of top ten players to find the country ranking. But to do this I have to follow the results of not only the present top ten but many more players who are on the verge of breaking into it. Present world number two, in live rating.              2.Sasikiran, Krishnan: Only Second Indian who has touched 2700.             3.Koneru, Humpy: Second woman and the fourth Indian who crosses 2600. Seventh woman who achieved GM status. Present world women number two.                           4. Negi, Parimarjan: Second youngest GM in the history of the game. Youngest Indian who touches 2600.  NB: Pl note that hall of fame is created to highlight the top achievements with respect to FIDE rating points and not for  tournament achievements. Note that World champion status of Anand is not even mentioned though he is at present and obtained it through three different formats- a unique feat.
