Easy Cherry Pudding

� C - Butter or margarine

1 C - Sugar

1 C - Flour

2 tsp - Baking Powder

� C - Milk

1 can (1 lb) - Red Sour Pitted Cherries

� C - Sugar

In 9-inch square pan, melt butter. In bowl combine 1 cup sugar, flour, baking powder and milk. Mix until well blended. Pour over melted butter; do not stir. Pour undrained cherries over batter; do not stir. Pour � cup sugar over cherries; do not stir. Bake in 325F oven for 1 hour. Serves 8.
