Grateful Dead in the 90's
The Grateful Dead was founded in July 1965
as The
Warlocks. In June 1966,the members moved to
710 Haight Ashbury Street, and the name was changed
to The Grateful Dead.The original members were:
Jerry Garcia(lead guitar/vocals),Bob Weir(guitar/vocals),
Phil Lesh(bass) Ron'Pig Pen'McKernan(vocal/harmonica/piano/organ
and Bill Kreutzmann(drums). In 1967 a second drummer arrived,
Mickey Hart,and in 1968 the innovative keyboardplayer
Tom Constanten was added to the bandmembers,and with various
subtitutes,The Grateful Dead has been a very
active band,playing in USA, and all over the world,
until Jerry Garcia's untimely death in 1995.R.I.P.
