With Cheryl at the Mojo, where they serve the vodka frozen,
and you can dance like a freak
without them making a fuss.

Well we're sitting in the corner running down the music
which we had happily danced to
even though it was crap.

We talk philosophy and romance, Nietzsche in the moonlight;
she's laughs at my impressions
and I'm laughing at her laugh.

And when we have to go home, we don't bother with a taxi
even though we have some money
and it's frosty as hell.

Night-time in the city, and we're walking off the pavement
singing silly songs from adverts
and telling crazy jokes.

We're laying on the sofa and I'm wrapped all up inside her
and I never want to leave her
and it makes me want to cry

because I love her till it's painful, with heaven just a stone's throw,
I'm where I want to be forever
and she feels the same way.

I'm on the bus next morning and I'm feeling that I need this
just a little too much now
and it blows me away

Now I'm back inside the Mojo with a girlfriend of a girlfriend
and the music's just as crappy,
but now a little bit too loud.

There's a thousand people laughing, and a million people talking,
but none of them can tell me
why I threw it away.
