Swiss Alps (1)
In Switzerland I really got time to
get to know my fellow travelers.
Here are a few snapshots, more to
follow .
If you have been on a Rick Steves Tour you
know they assign a buddy so you don't
miss the bus. Here was my buddy Sharon
with her husband Tom. She lives in Florida
but her daughter is about 30 miles from me
in Los Angeles...We have already seen each
other since the trip and e mail regularly.
Sharon protects sea turtles and is a fellow
artist, a free spirit and a lot of fun!!!
Mary Beth and Sue, ask them about
their adventure on the funicular in
Salzburg (it got stuck). Flew home
with them which was really nice.
Carol and Joyce are both nurses.
Luann and Steve, he remained at the rear making
sure we all were together......what a guy!
Shelly and Karen are mother and daughter.
Shelly works in Afganistan and sent us an arial
picture upon her return. I think of her often.
Diane, Toni, Tim and Janice. Tim enjoys
photography as much as I do!
Janet, another Joan!!, Diane, Janice (both
avid skiers) and me.
Our group in Kleine Scheidegg. Below
was our transportation up the mountain.
I could not believe this. The
Alps and a Saint Bernard.
This is your other form of
transportation. You are way up
there!!
This was our hotel in Murren. Since we are in Switzerland cheese fondue is
a must. We shared it at dinner one night and was it delicious. We were
serenaded by cow bells from morning until night. I loved it.
We were entertained at dinner
by musicians playing the
accordian and alphorn. We
got to create music ourself on
the horn. That was great fun.
Toni was pretty good!
