JOHN WILLIAMS
Generation 1

JOHN WILLIAMS was born about 1616, no doubt in England. Nothing is known about his life there or his crossing to America, nor about his early years here. He came to Westfield, Massachusetts, from Windsor, Connecticut, before 1668.

He bought land on the north side and is first mentioned on a committee on January 9th, 1667/68, to determine the location of fences.

He married on 29 June 1644 at Windsor, MARY BUCKLEY. She died perhaps at Windsor on 18 April 1681.

JOHN’S WILL

"When he was aged," John Williams wrote his will on 10 February 1707/08. In the will he mentioned his wife, Esther. His son, Nathaniel, was the executor, and the estate totaled out at £222-08-02. Bequests were made to daughters and some grandchildren, the eldest son receiving the dwelling house and barn.

NATHANIEL WILLIAMS
Generation 2

NATHANIEL WILLIAMS was born on 25 October 1647 at Windsor, Connecticut. He married MARY OWEN, who joined the Westfield church on 5 April 1713. Nathaniel was a farmer on Union Street in Westfield.

REBECCA WILLIAMS
Generation 3

REBECCA WILLIAMS was born at Westfield on 27 September 1685. She married JEDEDIAH DEWEY II on the 17th of June 1703. They had nine children.
