The estate was distributed by the Court on 17 October 1648:

  • To his Relict – £60

  • To his eldest sonne by name Thomas Dewy – £30

  • And to the other five children £20 a piece – £100

“The daughters portion of £20 to bee paid her at the age of 18 yeares, and the severall sonns portions to bee pd. to them at the age of 21 yeares; the Relict giving in suffitient security to the children before her marriage againe for theire severall portions.”

Provision made for the childrens’ portions at the court on 6 June 1650. Various distributions of land were made in June 1650 and September 1663 (see pp. 226-28 of the Dewey genealogy).
