We finally located a hotel, after deciding to pay a little bit more to be downtown, rather than finding a cheap hostel farther out. Here we are playing with the timers on our cameras. Left to right are me, Lindsey, and Juana. |

We woke up early Sunday morning to go take pictures of the city. This is the Tampere cathedral. |
| We found a lot of funny translations in Tampere. This one is not a translation, we think. But it described Lindsey rather well. Our favorite translations in Tampere were a restaurant called "Indian Part" (which should have been "Part of India," we think) and a fire safety card in our hotel room which instructed us, "In case of fire, open window and expose yourself in it." | ![]() |

We were very excited by the prospect of museums in Tampere. This is the Spy Museum. However, it was closed on Sundays. We were rather disappointed. |
| We waved a sad good-bye to Tampere just as the sun came out for the first time in what seemed like months. We paused for a train station shot in front of the children's car, featuring the Mummis, popular Finnish cartoon characters. We also missed the Mummi Museum while in Tampere. | ![]() |
