I open myself up to you
trusting that I will know when
and how
and where
my emotions will lead
to the left
where love and god and peace are
or to the right
where frustration and tears reside
but love
-and god-
are both places
so it is me that is not open
how can I open myself
to other hearts?
other minds?
other people?
if I turn away so quickly
looking for god
