Chapter Seven

DEAR CONFUSED TEENAGER

Being a confused teenager is like being out of control, sucked into one end of a black hole, and just when they think they know who they are, they shoot out the other end as a new creation.  The most agonizing aspect is that they never know when this may happen. Some scientists theorize that black holes are vortexes whose gravitational pull is like a graveyard for dead stars, planets, and celestial orbs of unknown origin; in essence they are reconstituting the energy of those bodies and then propelling them out the other side as energy, new creations, perhaps new vibrations and realities.

Sometimes teenagers feel like this also.  Just about the time they think that they know who they are, they are swept up into something new, bounced around, remolded, criticized, educated, chastised, beautified, polished, and pushed out into new avenues of daily life.  They may see themselves as lacking beauty; incapable of realizing their dreams; or ignoring that they do have the capability to bring into their own little worlds a goodness within that is clamoring to come out.  They may not understand their purpose in being born into this quagmire of confusion and chaos or exciting times, depending on their perspective.  Until they can find answers, they may feed themselves such negativity that it bounces off others and permeates their immediate space.  They may feel like there is a dark, dark cloud hanging over them all of the time.

Those areas encompass experiences to stimulate us to develop our full abilities, which consist of talents and capabilities we Indigos bring with us, together with all of the emotions and actions of humans, which are new to us.  At times it is like being a butterfly waiting to emerge when its cycle has finished. But when life gets so incredibly difficult and electrical shocks run up and down our spines, then it is reprocessing again in the black hole of Earth’s many classrooms.

I think back to my teen years and remember my own emotional, electrical shocks during those times. My entire world consisted of friends, dances, music, parties, and the boy who attracted my eye that week.

How hard can it truly be as a teenager, especially when your parents are still there supporting and paying for your needs?  You know--trivial things like a roof over your heads, clothing, and food.  Of course, you mustn't forget your basic survival tools like a personal telephone and a computer connected to the Internet. What else could you ask for: freedom, independence, and an opportunity to stretch your wings and fly?  How many of you have disagreed with your parents on how best to raise you? "Who knows better than me?" Right?

I did not realize that the continuous parental no and restrictions imprisoning and confining me were only because my parents loved me, while instead I fumed at them for hampering my social life.  Fears consumed my parents because of deep concern about my safety and welfare.  And believe me, they had every right to be worried! Teens face difficult choices, and responsible parents cautiously allow their children to make them and hope for the best. Not every one of us who comes from a supportive home life has the ability to make good choices.

Sometimes you don't have the emotional maturity or life experiences to be as independent as you struggle to be. At the same time, oh how you long to soar on wings of freedom!! Checks and balances are often needed between your parents and yourselves.

I was not the best decision-maker. Sure, I needed to learn from my mistakes, but my parents worried that my mistakes may become so costly as to toss me out into arms of irreparable injury. "Hey! Trust me, Mom and Dad.  I have it under control." Does that sound familiar?  I half-heartedly did what was morally and ethically right, but more importantly, I followed my desires to indulge in feel-good pleasures like sex, drugs, and rock music.  Now I realize that my parents were attempting to help me realize my full capabilities.

Gradually, as time passed I allowed who I am to peek out and emerge, thus enlarging my juvenile knowledge and wisdom. If we survive all of our escapades of drugs, alcohol, or self-hate, these negative experiences may later inspire us to become teachers. Once we get past those foolish ideas that blind us, then our world begins to open up and our horizons expand.

It can be a scary world out there. It can also be a very beautiful world.  Granted, there are many teen Indigos who make wise decisions, but there are many of you who struggle to make the right choices because you do not remember who you are after entering Earth’s vibrations.  You forget your purpose.  In your amnesia you may not weigh out all the possibilities or think your decisions through. Too often your emotions make choices, and you forget how to reach reasonable decisions.  It is important that you strive to create a balance between your Ego-emotions and your Ego-brains.  When your emotions control, you are blinded.  When your logical Ego-brain controls, you are blinded also.

How many times have you felt out of sync because of chaotic highs and lows, the black hole feeling?  Teen years are triggering times when you learn how to master and seek balance.  They can be very challenging.

So what do young Indigos do?  First, you recognize and accept the fact that you are Indigos with great abilities and purpose, if you choose to utilize them in the right way.  A good place to start is by seeking a quiet space, a quiet time, and turn on meditation music, or even your own choice of soft and gentle music.  As it plays, let the vibrations flow over and through you, and eventually you will reach a state of contentment and bliss, known as an altered state of consciousness.  You may see in your Soul/Mind’s eye colors, vague shapes, images, wavy patterns, or lights.  There are many different images.

Once these begin, then mentally picture yourself in the midst of these patterns.  Know that you are having spiritual contact.  You are contacting beings like yourself in faster vibrations who are free of the restraints of Earth.  You may ask for assistance in remembering who you are, what your purpose is, and for guidance as how to be that which you choose to be.  You let this mood last as long as it naturally does so.

After that you now have the necessary contact with your Soul/Mind to determine what your highest and greatest goals and aspirations are.  You can ask yourself direct questions like: "Who am I?  Who do I choose to be?  How do I relate to the world?  What is my purpose?  What do I like and dislike?”  You need to look inward and find me, and at the same time discard all negative judgments about self, which lie within the Ego-me.  Try to break out of your outer make-a-statement disguise and strive to become who you are, but have not recognized.

Quietly and subtly you may then observe other teenagers, for most all teenagers as of now are Indigos and generally in the same state of confusion.  In such a manner you may pick up a feeling or an intuitive communication from another, who also is seeking a like connection.  When you are able to link with others and brainstorm, you have added electromagnetic energies that clear your channels to your original vibrations, and you can remember and psychically tap the information you need.

Young people ask, “Can anything good actually happen?  Does the moment of heaven only happen when I die?”

I challenge such pessimistic thinking.  Why can’t it happen now?  Why wait for light to shine on you?  You can stop dragging your feet and move toward higher Thoughts of Love and peace.  All realities exist right here, right now.  It is up to you to choose the reality you desire to experience.  You may recognize that there is something that you desire, but it is not clear.  Old images replay within you, enforcing passé paradigms of limitation and restriction, which inhibit you into believing there are only certain actions you can take and others you cannot.  You can bypass these decaying images by not becoming involved as to how your Thoughts will manifest.

When you focus your intent on Love, your inner world will mirror in your outer world.  Love gives you calmness while in the eye of the storm for you are in the presence of Spirit.  When Love and peace lighten your paths, you shine again in full glory, and with you shines the full radiance of your world.

When you realize that happiness and bliss lie within your state of Mind, hope and creativity like the sun burst into your little world to fill you with warmth and Love.  You are like flowers that grow into full bloom to kiss the rays of light.  All of you are spiritually pure beings who have come to add beauty to your family, friends, community, and environment.  Once you reach this stage, you are no longer confused.  You enjoy life more fully (you can still have fun) and you commence walking step-by-step on the paths that you originally cleared for yourselves.

YOU ARE READY TO BLAST OFF!!
