| Tamblyn Joins Sisterhood Thursday March 18, 2004 According to the Hollywood Reporter, Amber Tamblyn has signed on to star in the movie version of Ann Brashares New York Times Best Seller "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants". The story centers around four teenage girls who promise to keep in touch over their first summer spent apart by circulating a 'magical' pair of pants that fits each of them perfectly and invariably ties them together. No other roles have been announced yet.Ken Kwapis is set to direct the script adapted for the screen by Delia Ephron. Warner Bros. Pictures will produce the film. | Sisterhood Casting Tuesday June 8, 2004 As this site has previously reported Amber Tamblyn will star in the upcoming Sisterhood Of The Traveling Pants movie adaptation of the best selling teen book. It has been confirmed that Amber will play the role of Tibby. She's been spotted at a few recent hollywood events sporting her blue streaks in her hair for the role and will wear a fake nose-ring in the movie. The rest of the cast has been announced as follows: Alexis Bledel (Gilmore Girls) as Lena, America Ferrera (Real Women Have Curves) as Carmen, newcomer Blake Lively as Bridget and Jenna Boyd (Dickie Roberts:Former Child Star) as Bailey. Nancy Travis (Becker) and Bradley Whitford (The West Wing) also star.The movie is currently in production and will be filmed on location in Greece, Mexico and Vancouver, British Columbia.
