Theap Bunthin is a Cambodian tour guide. He is bilingual, speaking both Khmer (Cambodia's native language) and English. He offers tours of the Siem Reap district and surrounding temples. Accommodation in the area can also be arranged.
Angkor is one of the most important archaeological sites in South-East Asia. Stretching over some 400 sq. km, including forested area, Angkor Archaeological Park contains the magnificent remains of the different capitals of the Khmer Empire, from the 9th to the 15th century. These include the famous Temple of Angkor Wat and, at Angkor Thom, the Bayon Temple with its countless sculptural decorations. (Sourced from The World Heritage List)

Bunthin was brought up by his uncle in Cambodia. He was later sent to a Thai refugee camp where he received some schooling, including English lessons.
Bunthin now earns a living as a tour guide for the Siem Reap area. He is a freelance guide, working for several travel companies.
Bunthin has extensive local knowledge of both the area and the history of the Siem Reap area. He has first hand knowledge of the recent turbulent history of the country.
