Journalist Jim Brumm
YOUR JERSEY REPORTER
Jim has moved.
For the latest,
you are invited
to go to
jo1brumm.com.
THE LOCATION: Central New Jersey provides direct access via train or car to the state's government in Trenton and Newark -- the politicians, the lobbyists, the regulators and other bureaucracies. Also nearby are the headquarters of many major pharmaceutical companies, and just beyond are New York City's financial markets.

THE EXPERIENCE: A financial reporter at news services and trade papers since 1967, Jim has focused on energy for three decades -- looking at the commodity, the technology and the companies. This coverage included the 1978 regulatory hearings that set what we now call deregulation.
The final stop was the Reuters Equities Desk. As one of the largest spot news desks, it provided a steady flow of all types of corporate news. As a senior equities correspondent, Jim was there to help on any story with writing or guidance.
Since accepting a Reuters buyout at the end of 2001, Jim's experience has extended to articles for
The Christian Science Monitor; the Newark, NJ, Star-Ledger; NJBiz, PubAux, Reuters,   SteetInsider.com, Forbes Special Sections and California Energy Circuit.

WHO IS JIM?
He is a member of the
Society of American Business Editors and Writers, the National Writers Union, and the Society of the Silurians, the oldest U.S. press club.
